The Northern Plains CAC provides a compassionate and effective way to bring services to children victimized by abuse. This public-private collaboration significantly reduces the trauma associated with reporting child abuse and holds offenders accountable.

We serve multiple counties in the northwest and northcentral regions of North Dakota, including two Native American reservations.

A law enforcement official or county social services worker must make a referral to us. If you or someone you know is a victim of child abuse, contact your local law enforcement or county social service agency.

Any suspicion of the abuse of a child under the age of 18 or a vulnerable adult must be reported to law enforcement or county social services before a forensic interview or forensic medical exam can take place.

If you have any questions, please contact Christal Halseth, MSW, LICSW at Northern Plains Children’s Advocacy Center, 701-852-0836.
